Tawasol 1 Conference

At a time when there is an increasing need to establish frameworks for communication, coordination, and mutual interaction between media outlets to serve Palestine and its cause, and to confront attempts to liquidate the cause and isolate it from its Arab and Islamic depth and its just human dimension, as well as excluding it from the media spotlight and diminishing its active presence within organizations, institutions, and elites both regionally and internationally. To reaffirm the importance of the Palestinian cause and its distinctive presence in the media, to activate the potential of free people across the nation and the world in all media disciplines, and to seek to build effective media strategies and projects in service of the Palestinian cause, the "International Forum for Palestinian Media and Communication - Tawasol" was held in Istanbul on April 23-24, 2014, with the participation of more than four hundred individuals and media institutions from over forty countries around the world.
